yesterday was too wierd.
we went to my grandparents house like we always do for thanksgiving!
almost the whole family was there except for a few missing ones,
but every year a few don't show up.
nobody really notices because its such a huge family
well this year everyone that was supposed to be there was.
however, you could hear everyone saying : "is this it?"
"isn't there more people coming?"
"i didn't realize there were this many people missing?"
"whose missing?"
We couldn't figure it out, we named everyone who wasn't there and it wasn't that many people.
then we realized what it was.
my grandma was missing... for the first time in MY thanksgiving history!
how could such a tiny little woman's absence make thanksgiving feel soooo empty!
she was the heart and soul of our family,
the center of our wheel,
the organizer of all our family events,
the beautiful lady wearing her red apron cooking the whole dinner and yelling at everyone to not bring mud in the house,
she is our family....
.... and she's gone!
that was my lonely thanksgiving
